Thought of the Day

SETTING THE LEADERSHIP EXAMPLE AS A FATHER IS THE MOST IMPORTANT CALLING.

All leaders of faith must recommit themselves daily to becoming better fathers. At all ages fathers should love and nurture their families. Fathers should be prayer warriors for their sons and daughters and extended families. Fathers should quietly set examples of faith and ethics through their own wholesome lifestyles. Fathers should set aside their most valuable asset, time, and freely shower it upon those they love. Let us all be the faithful fathers and loyal leaders for the Kingdom of God.

Forward by Joe Turnham

Throughout generations people have combed the Holy Scriptures in search of meaning, purpose, solace and forgiveness. Its words give us new understanding of creation, history, prophecy and revelation: therein, we find the promise of the soul’s salvation.

But my own burden and calling that led me to the writing of this book, Leading From Our Knees, revealed to me that the Holy Scriptures are also the ultimate collection of timeless leadership precepts. From Genesis to Revelation we encounter those many reluctant and imperfect characters that God chose to become leaders for holy tasks. God worked His providence and purpose through each of them and bids you also as a leader in this time to become a partner in building the Kingdom of God.

Reviews

As a Pastor, I look forward to being encouraged in both scripture and prayer. The busyness of life often causes me to not be thoughtful in my prayer life. This book make me be more intentional and focused. Though I would leave it second to Oswald Chamber’s “My Utmost for His Highest”, it is still very effective, especially in the thoughts of leading. I would suggest this for any leader, as it causes the reader to put first things first, bringing glory to God!
